Finland may not have the Alps – but Vihti Ski Center offers a versatile selection of slopes in the conditions of Southern Finland.
Our excellent location on the northern slopes of the Lohjanharju Ridge creates a colder microclimate that can turn the city’s slush into snow. While the city is often snow-free, you can still ski in Vihti. And with Vihti located just 45 km from Helsinki along the Turku motorway, it is also close enough for a great evening ski trip.
Did you know that Vihti Ski is a pioneer in snow preservation in Southern Finland?
Thanks to preserved snow, the season can often start as early as October.
SLOPES FOR EVERYONE
Vihti offers slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels.
The Stenmark Race Slope and Slope 4 provide a challenge even for experienced skiers. Intermediate skiers have several options, as well as plenty of easy slopes for recreational skiing.
Beginners are well catered for with very easy slopes and three magic carpet lifts.
At the beginning of the season, pop-up park areas are built using preserved snow on the beginner slope and Main Slope 2.
During the peak season, the larger Wild West Park extends along the entire length of Slope 1.
10 LIFTS
Vihti Ski Center has a total of 10 lifts:

FAMILY FAVORITES: THE BUTTON LIFT SLOPES & BACK SLOPE
Slopes 6, 7 and 8 can be accessed either by the new long magic carpet lift or the button lift. These slopes are ideal for beginners.
The Back Slope can be reached from all platter lifts as well as the button lift. The slope is 350 meters long with a vertical drop of 45 meters. Its gentle, consistent profile makes it ideal for family skiing and ski school lessons.
The easiest route back from the Back Slope to the front slopes runs next to the button lift (Lift 6).

Children and families are one of our key target groups. Our green and blue slopes provide a safe and comfortable environment for learning and enjoying skiing.
Our award-winning ski school offers a variety of courses and private lessons for skiers of different ages and skill levels.
